Releases & Extending Arrests in al Sawane
On Thursday 17-year-old Muhammad Reyad Abu Lafi and his cousin, Mahmood Emad, were arrested by Israeli police whilst walking on the main street in al Sawaneh. They police also held ID cards of 17-year-olds Kamal al Imam and Ibrahim al Mazfar as well as 20-year-old Motasam Abu Ladi. Extending Arrests and a Confidential Hearing The Magistrates’ Court extended the arrests of Abed Odeh and Muhammad Bader until next Thursday for further investigations. Their hearings were confidential; this means their lawyers and families were prevented from attending. Releasing Under Conditions The Magistrates’ Court released 16-year-old Fatthi Khaled Fatthi following payment of a 4000 NIS bail. He is under conditions of house arrest away from his home until his court date. He was arrested 20 days ago, accused of throwing fireworks in Silwan.
