60 Jerusalemites and 9 Soldiers Injured Following a Raid on al-Aqsa

  60 Palestinians were injured on the grounds of al-Aqsa as dozens of Israeli forces raided the Aqsa mosque. Nine soldiers were injured; three with burns after Molotov Cocktails were thrown at them.   Injuries Dr. Ziyad Srur from the Aqsa pharmacies said 50 injured came for advice and treatment to the Pharmacy. Injuries had been caused by rubber bullets, sound bombs, gas bombs and pepper spray. 20 of the rubber bullets injuries were to the head, four were transferred to the hospital. Some of the injuries were in the stomach and below, whilst others needed treatment of suffocation cause by the pepper spray. The photographer was also Atta Ewessat was injured by a rubber bullet to his face. He was transferred to the hospital. A reporter, Mahfuz Abu Turk, was also injured. Sources from al Makassed hospital said ten injuries were serious.   Reporter Raiding al-Aqsa The Israeli forces (Police, Special Units, Undercover Units and Intelligence Forces) raided al-Aqsa from the Dun and Silsila gates. They threw at the sound bombs and shot rubber bullets at locals. The dozens of worshippers, who were inside, were surrounded as the forces tried to break in. Locals attempted to prevent them by putting chains on the gates.   After the prayer, dozens of worshippers marched in condemnation of a previous incident in which an Israeli officer threw a Koran on the floor before stepping on it. This occurred inside of al-Aqsa. During the march, people raised Korans and Islamic flags.   Soldiers injured Stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown at the forces. As a result nine were injured: three with burns and six by stones. One Israeli officer hit a Special Unit Agent in the face.   In attempts to prevent entrance to the grounds of al-Aqsa, the forces attacked women, men, paramedics and journalists. During this, confrontations took place at the Hatta gate resulting in the arrest of two young men. 23-year-old paramedic, Yussef Rubi, was also arrested whilst he was leaving al-Aqsa.
