Light Trail Security Guards attack Mohammad Abu Rammouz
May 2, 2013

Mohammad Hisham Abu Rammouz, 18, suffered injuries and bruises after being severely beatenby the "light rail security guards" in West Jerusalem on Wednesday. Hisham Abu Rammouz, Mohammad’s father, stated that his son had lost consciousness and suffered from head injuries and had bruises in various parts of his body after he was beaten by 7 members of the “trail’s security guards”. Hisham explained that his son took the light trail and was heading home on Wednesday’s afternoon after getting off work in West Jerusalem and while on the trail, one security guard hit him on his shoulder for no reason; Mohammad took no action but looked at the guard and his name tag. Afterwards, the guard came back to Mohammad and asked him why he had looked at his name tag and Mohammad replied that he wanted to file a complaint against him for hitting him. He added: “the security guard asked my son for his personal ID but my son refused to give it to him because he has no right to ask for it and so the security guard ended up calling another guard and made few phone calls using his mobile phone. The two guards made Mohammad get off the train by the “New Gate” station and together with five other guards that were waiting they started hitting him with their hands and legs and deliberately hit his head to the ground several times where he lost consciousness and was denied any assistance by any Jerusalemite. As the police arrived, they separated the guards from Mohammad, called the ambulance and transferred him to the hospital.” He clarified that his son Mohammad is in the emergency room in Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem; they have stitched the wound he had in his head and that he needs close monitoring because of the loss of consciousness from 1 p.m. until late in the evening.
