Um Nader Qaraeen and her daughter were released; arrest of father is extended
The Israeli police released Um Nader Qaraeen, 44 and her daughter Wala’, 20 on Tuesday’s evening after detaining them for more than six hours at Al-Maskobyeh.
Mutasem Qaraeen from Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that Israeli forces raided his uncle’s, Abu Nader Qaraeen, housein Jabal Al-Mukabber on Tuesday morning and carefully searched the house and sabotaged its contents. They also searched his son’s, Nader Qaraeen, house as well as the roof, entrance and parking. They left the building after arresting Um Nader and her daughter Wala’ and took them to Al-Maskobyeh in West Jerusalem.
Mutasem Qaraeen noted that the interrogation lasted for more than six hours without charging them with anything. He also said that when his Uncle Abu Nader found out about the arrest and house search, he went to Al-Maskobyeh to check the matter where he was also interrogated and detained until Wednesday.
Qaraeen clarified that his uncle’s house was raided while his uncle was away and only his wife and her daughter were home and while attempting to get home, he was prevented by the Israeli forces where verbal altercations and clashes occurred.
Mutasem said that his cousin, Nader, was arrested 4 days ago and was released on Tuesday morning and the raid was done after his release; note that Iyad Qaraeen has been arrested since November.
