An extremist stabs the Jerusalemite taxi driver Ibrahim Al-Shawish
An Israeli extremist stabbed the Jerusalemite taxi driver, Ibrahim Al-Shawish, 51, in the early hours of Tuesday morning while riding with him in the car.
Ibrahim was stabbed six times in the stomach, shoulder, back and thigh at 4 a.m. Tuesday after transporting a Jewish (Israeli)man from Gilo Settlement.
Salah, Ibrahim’s brother, narrated what had happened according to Ibrahim’s testimony to the police this morning –after his injury-: “ Ibrahim dropped off the extremist where he intended to go, he asked him to stop on the left side and that is when the Israeli put his hand in his pocket; mybrother thought he was reaching for the money to pay him but was surprised to see a sharp tool whichhe later found out that it was a knife and got stabbed with it in the shoulder and another stab in his chest while the extremist was in the back seat. When the Israeli left the car, my brother tried to open the door and that’s when he stabbed him in his stomach and right thigh, then twice in his back and then managed to escape.”
He said that the Israeli was in civil clothes and was wearing a white scarf around his neck along with a black shirt and is in his forties.
He continued: “according to my brother’s statement who said in the investigation that he was able to return to the taxi office in the settlement, and could not talk to anyone, he stood up and then fell down and lost consciousness and was bleeding heavily. The ambulance came and transported him to the hospital.”
Shawish denied the Israeli police story that there was an argument regarding the fare, stressing that there was no argument whatsoever between his brother “Ibrahim” and the extremist.
Shawish is a father of 5 girls and one boy where the youngest is 20 years old.
