Mahmoud Gheith….Handcuffed during treatment after an attack by settlers

The 17-year old boy Mahmoud Gheith is suffering severe pain in his head after being attacked by two settlers on Tuesday night. Mahmoud’s family said that he had 16 stiches after suffering a deep cut in the middle of his head after directly being beat with a metal. The family clarified that Mahmoud was taken to the hospital after over half an hour of his injury where they received a call from the police telling them that their son was arrested and two hours after arriving at “Al-Qishleh”, they were informed of his location as he was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Raed, Mahmoud’s brother, said that his brother was handcuffed and was bleeding when he arrived to the hospital. Two settlers attacked four children on Tuesday after midnight by Nabi Daoud’s Gate in the Old City. The boys are: Mahmoud Gheith, 17, Thaer Maswadeh, 17, Mahdi Albanna, 16, and Mutasem Sheeha, 16. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the boys were on their way to their houses in Silwan and while passing through Nabi Daoud’s Gate, they were attacked by two settlers who hit them with their hands and sharp tools that they had resulting in the injury of Mahmoud Gheith directly in his head; the police arrived at the scene and arrested both parties and took them to “Al-Qishleh” for investigation.
