May 21, 2013

The Israeli workers along with the bulldozers started excavations in the Wailing Squareand Umayyad Palaces which are very close to Al-Aqsa Mosque. For the past few days, dozens of Israelis (males and females) are using hand tools to drill and dig in the area of Umayyad Palaces, and had put up a tent in the area. This is a continuation to the project of the so-called “Third Temple” in the area as they work in one location and transfer to another every now and then. The Israeli bulldozers continue their works around the Wailing Square as they are demolishing and drilling in the area to prepare for the building of a Jewish religious project called “House of Strauss” which consists of 4 storeys with an area of 900 square meters. According to information published on the project, it will be used as the main entrance for the tunnels under Al-Aqsa Mosque. The center contains an office for the person responsible for the Wailing Wall and other rooms for internal use such as dressing rooms; it also contains another section for the uses of the police and will be directly over looking the Wailing Square.
