Demolition of an apartment in Jabal Al-Mukabber
The Israeli bulldozers demolished on Tuesday morning an apartment in the neighbourhood of Jabal Al-Mukabber. The apartment belongs to Abdel Baset Abu Rmeileh, and he had recently bought it from Al-Qaq family to live in it with his family. Issa Al-Qaq said that the apartment is 120 square meters and was built in 2000. Two years later, the first demolition order was issued, and since then the family has been trying to issue the necessary permits but to no avail, knowing that there has been violation building fees imposed during the last few years which sum up to more than 80 thousand NIS and that the demolition orders have been put on hold and today’s demolition process came with no prior notice. Large Israeli forces surrounded the whole neighbourhood of Jabal Al-Mukabber before the demolition.
