A press conference in Jerusalem titled “Towards the spring of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa”

The Islamic and National Forces in Jerusalem and its suburbs held a press conference on Tuesday on the roof of Al-Halawani in Wadi Joz which was titled “Towards the spring of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa” with participation from Sheikh Dr Ekrima Sabri, Head of Supreme Islamic Commission in Jerusalem, and Sheikh Kamal Khatib, deputy of the director of Islamic party in the 1948 lands, and Mr Hatem Abdelqader, Jerusalem file official in Fateh movement, in addition to the teacher who was ordered to stay away from Al-Aqsa, Hanadi Al-Halawani. Lawyer Zahi Njeidat, official spokesman of the Islamic party, welcomed the audience and condemned the kidnapping of Sheikh Raed Salah and preventing him from attending the press conference and said that the kidnapping came in order to disrupt the conference activities and protest tent that preceded the day of heading to Al-Aqsa which the Islamic party called for to be on Wednesday, September 4th. The spokesmen touched on the dangers facing Al-Aqsa these days, stressing the need for a permanent presence to foil all Israeli schemes. They also warned from Israel’s exploitation of the events in the Arab and Muslim worlds to implement their plans in Al-Aqsa. Hanadai, who is ordered to stay away from Al-Aqsa with a military decision, talked about the project of Al-Aqsa schools and the story of ordering her to stay away from Al-Aqsa mosque and presented the occupation’s actions and constraints that they impose on the students and the threats of keeping them away from Al-Aqsa in addition to the almost everyday arrests that the students face in order to prevent them from entering Al-Aqsa. Hanadi narrated the daily painful reality that faces Al-Aqsa because of the settlers’ break-ins under heavy protection from the police. She also said that this daily scene in Al-Aqsa really hurts and called everybody to stay close to Al-Aqsa and ignore the intimidation policy the occupation is using against Al-Aqsa lovers. The teacher also talked about the experiences she had with the occupation police and the continuous pursuits that she faced and explained that the occupation’s main goal is to keep worshippers away from Al-Aqsa. In the meantime, she confirmed that the Israeli occupation’s actions of intimidating the worshippers will only increase the love they have for Al-Aqsa.
