Arrests on day of heading to Al-Aqsa “Nafeer Day”
The Israeli police arrested on Wednesday several citizens during clashes that broke out at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque after surrounding it and preventing people from entering. According to the information available to Wadi Hilweh Information center, the police arrested around 10 citizens in which some of them were identified: 14-year old Mou’ayad Salaymeh and he was take to Al-Qishleh, Ehab Zghayyar while he was leaving Al-Aqsa, Ahmad Safadi, Wisam Sider, Tarek Al-Basti, Nader Halahleh and Mohammad Al-Razem from his house in Bab Hutt and Mu’taz Abu Sbeih. The child Ahmad Saeed Murrar was injured with a rubber bullet in his shoulder during the clashes that broke out in the neighbourhood of Bab Hutta. His injury was classified as minor and he was taken to Al-Maqased hospital for treatment. Al-Aqsa Mosque and its gates witnessed high tension since the early morning hours and until 11 a.m. after the police prevented all citizens (men, women and children) from entering Al-Aqsa in order to secure the entrance of the settlers. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the police allowed the citizens to go in at 11 a.m. without any limitations and that was after the so-called “foreign tourism” tour was over. The forces withdrew from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa after breaking in for a few hours. The police allowed 56 extremists to break into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday through Dung Gate.
