The arrest of a child and breaking into several houses in Al-Sowaneh after the settlers assaulted the locals
The Israeli police arrested on Thursday night 14-year old Mousa Abu Alhawa after raiding his home in the neighbourhood of Al-Sowaneh east of the old city of Jerusalem. This came after the settlers of Bet Aort attempted to break into the neighbourhood. Locals of Al-Sowaneh said that they were surprised when a number of settlers attempted to break into the neighbourhood and threw stones towards the houses and locals. The young men confronted the settlers and clashes broke out between the two sides and then the police broke into the neighbourhood. They added that the police raided several houses, and among those were the houses of: Emam family, Abu Alhawa and Barakat Al-A’mour. Locals pointed out that the forces arrested the child Abu Alhawa while he was at his home. Stones were thrown at the settlers and police cars.
