Dozens injured and the arrest of 15 Jerusalemites during Al-Aqsa clashes

Dozens of worshippers suffocated on Friday and were injured with burns during violent clashes that broke out in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Israeli police arrested 15 Jerusalemites while they were exiting through Al-Aqsa gates, among the detainees were: Ahmad Fakhouri, Louai Natsheh and Arafat Fakhouri, knowing that they were arrested from Al-Silsileh gate. Seven other Jerusalemites were arrested from Hutta gate and among them: Haitham Deeb, Ahmad Jallad, Hamed Qirresh and Firas Totah. Witnesses said that the Musta’ribin (undercover) unit arrested a 14-year old child while he was walking in Al-Aqsa. The ambulance crews said that dozens of citizens (men, women and children) suffocated when they were surrounded in Al-Qibli Mosque and were treated on the spot, and more than 60 citizens were injured and got treated in Al-Aqsa clinics in which 5 of them were transferred by the Red Crescent vehicles to Al-Maqased hospital. Among the injured were 20 citizens that were injured by rubber bullets in different parts of their bodies, and 30 suffocated in addition to 5 who were injured by sound bombs. The Israeli forces targeted the paramedic crews as well as the journalists and some of them were injured by rubber bullets and they are: Journalist photographer Suleiman Khader, paramedics Wisam Hammoudeh, Fouad Obeid and Tahadi Al-Tokhali and they were injured in their legs, shoulders and thighs. Another woman was injured in her face by the shrapnel of a sound bomb, and another got hit with a sound bomb in her chest. The Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque after the Friday prayer was over through Al-Silsileh gate and Dung gate and randomly fired sound bombs and rubber bullets in its courtyards. Dozens of worshippers, men and women, suffocated while being surrounded in Al-Qibli Mosque as they were sprayed with pepper gas. Others were injured with wounds and bruises after being attacked with batons. The worshippers said the occupation forces (special units, snipers, Musta’ribin and police) were spread all over the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and were stationed on the top of the Dome of the Rock and Al-Marwani chapel, and at the gates of Al-Qibli Mosque and sprayed pepper gas at the worshippers and attacked them with batons in an attempt to prevent them from being at Al-Aqsa courtyards. As the forces were leaving Al-Aqsa and taking the iron chains of its door, and the worshippers were exiting Al-Aqsa, they attacked them one more time by firing rubber bullets towards the citizens which led to the injury of several worshippers.
