Police imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa on Friday
The Israeli police spokeswoman for Arabic Media, Luba Samri, said that the police will impose restrictions on the entry of male worshipper to Al-Aqsa on Friday but will not impose any restrictions on the females. She explained that the police will prevent men under the age of 45 from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of “preventing acts against law and order”. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the police started closing the roads leading to Al-Aqsa on Thursday night and established iron barriers on the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially at the entrances of Silwan in order to secure the “Jewish celebrations” at the Wailing Wall and to prevent the Muslims from entering Al-Aqsa. It is noteworthy that the police prevented all Muslim worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m. and then allowed them to get in after finishing the morning break-in of Al-Aqsa, knowing that they held the IDs of everyone who went in. The police also prevented worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa on 04/09/2013 and clashes broke out last Friday at Al-Aqsa courtyards between the young men and the occupation forces to protest against the continuous break-ins.
