Al-Aqsa Mosque closed for those under the age of 45!!!
The Israeli forces closed some of Al-Aqsa Mosque gates on Tuesday night, and prevented men under the age of 45 from entering, on the eve of “Sukkot” (Feast of Booths, Feast of Tabernacles). The male worshippers were surprised when they were prevented from entering Al-Aqsa to perform the evening and night prayers and without a reason. They were forced to pray by the gates of Al-Aqsa; note that the only gates that were open were (Hutta, Silsileh and Majles). The police established iron barriers on all of the gates and were heavily deployed in the old city of Jerusalem. Witnesses said that the police arrested 4 young men while being outside Al-Mathara gate, and they were taken to Al-Silsileh gate police station; several other young men were forced to get out of Al-Aqsa Mosque. It is noteworthy that nearly 60 settlers broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday through Dung gate, and made tours inside its courtyards. They were headed by extremists “Yehuda Ghalbak” who was explaining to the other settlers about the alleged temple as he was holding maps in his hands. The police deployed its special forces in Al-Aqsa courtyards instead of the regular police and they surrounded the students of Al-Aqsa schools (Masateb) and arrested young man Akram Shurafa. The internal committee at the Knesset called to prevent Muslims from praying at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the next few days because of the Israeli holiday “Sukkot”, and to only allow the Jews to go to the so-called “Temple Mount”. They also asked the head of the internal committee who is a member of “Likud” party, Miri Regev, to divide the times of entering Al-Aqsa between the Muslims and the Jews similar to what is being done in Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron.
The occupation’s intelligence investigated Sheikh Kamal Khatib, deputy director of Islamic movement in the 1948 lands, and also investigated Sheikh Ali Abu Sheikha as they were accused of initiating riots that led to a breach of public order in Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Israeli police called Sheikh Kamal Khatib for investigation while he was on his way to pray the afternoon prayer at Al-Aqsa, while Sheikh Ali Abu Sheikha was at his home when he was called for investigation. They were investigated in Al-Maskobyeh police station in room number 4; the room where minorities are investigated. Spokesman of the Islamic movement, Lawyer Zahi Njeidat, said: “these are false and unacceptable charges, and the Israeli occupation is looking to control and take over Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is why they harass every activist and supporter of this fair cause.”
