Extending the arrest of 5 citizens and the release of 7 others on condition of staying away of Al-Aqsa
The Israeli Magistrate court extended the arrest of 5 citizens on Wednesday and released 7 others with bails and on condition of staying away from Al-Aqsa. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate court judge decided to release the deputy director of Islamic movement in the 1948 lands, Sheikh Kamal Khatib, Sheikh Ali Abu Sheikha, 36-year old Tamer Sala’ta from Sakhnin, 31-year old Khalil Abbadi from Akko, 39-year old Hussein Abu Ghneim from Rahat as they were all arrested from Al-Aqsa on Wednesday. They also released Akram Shurafa’ from Jerusalem who was arrested on Tuesday from Al-Aqsa and Emad Abbasi from Silwan who was also arrested on Wednesday; they were all released on condition of staying away from Al-Aqsa until the 30th of September, 2013. Sheikh Khatib and Sheikh Abu Sheikh were ordered to stay away from the city of Jerusalem until the above date on charges of recently initiating riots that led to a breach of law and order at Al-Aqsa. The court extended the arrest of Bilal Hammad from Haifa and Khalil Akryeh from Kabul until Thursday, knowing that they were arrested on Wednesday. The police arrested Saher Ghazawi, Adib Kharmeh and Mohammad Ahmad Jbareen from Al-Aqsa on Wednesday. Young man Khalil Abbadi pointed out that he was injured in his left shoulder while being arrested by 6 individuals from the Special Forces as they used their batons and were punching him. Tamer Shala’ta said: “I was severely beat while I was handcuffed inside Al-Silsileh gate police station as one police officer attacked me and pushed me towards the wall, and then they started hitting me with their batons on my leg.
