The arrest of two young men…..and strict procedures at Al-Aqsa gates
The Israeli police extended on Monday night the arrest of two young Jerusalemites until Tuesday to be presented to the Magistrate court.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the police extended the arrest of 35-year old Nihad Abbasi until Tuesday after arresting him on Monday from Al-Aqsa courtyards; they also extended the arrest of 19-year old Mustafa Abeesan. The Israeli police enforced strict procedures at Al-Aqsa gates and the gates of the old city of Jerusalem on the eve of “Jerusalem march” on occasion of the “Sukkot” holiday. Large numbers of Jewish groups are expected to participate in the march from different areas; the police detained the IDs of the young men who entered Al-Aqsa to pray. Clashes broke out on Monday night by Hadeed gate and Majles gate (one of Al-Aqsa gates) and the forces fired sound bombs towards the citizens. Extremist Jewish groups called for group and family break-ins of Al-Aqsa courtyards on Tuesday, knowing that 170 extremists broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday on occasion of the “Sukkot” holiday through Dung gate. Witnesses said that several extremists practiced their religious rituals inside Al-Aqsa courtyards, while several others took soil, stones and olives from its courtyards; they also formed dancing and singing groups on the outside of Al-Silsileh gate.
