September 24, 2013

The Israeli Magistrate court extended the arrest of three Jerusalemites from Silwan and released three others on condition of staying away from Al-Aqsa. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Magistrate court Judge extended the arrest of 15-year old Mohammad Al-A’war until Wednesday on charges of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails in Silwan. Mohammad’s mother pointed out that her husband was arrested for no reason after the court session was over. She also noted that this is the third time her son gets arrested in which the first arrest was two years ago and for one day, and he was arrested one more time last year but was released on condition of house arrest. The judge also extended the arrest of 19-year old Naeem Hadyeh until Friday. Naeem’s sister, Um Amjad, pointed out that her brother was severely beaten while being arrested last Sunday, in addition to the continuous investigation and psychological pressure he was exposed to in order to extract confessions. She also noted that the Israeli intelligence called her to investigate her parents on Monday “in room number 4” and they were investigated for nearly an hour and a half as they tried to find out Naeem’s location at certain days. Um Majd said: “we were called despite my mother’s illness and lack of ability to be present in closed rooms since she recently finished chemotherapy treatment for her cancer. She requested a mask from the investigator while she was being interrogated but he refused and tried to provoke them and directing obscene words to them.” The Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Mustafa Abeesan until Wednesday, knowing that he was arrested on Monday night while leaving Al-Aqsa Mosque. Meanwhile, the judge also released 36-year old Nihad Abbasi with a bail of 500 NIS and signing a 10-thousand NIS bail in addition to staying away from Al-Aqsa for 40 days. The judge also released two other young men; Karam Ramlawi and Issa Al-Natsheh on condition of staying away from Al-Aqsa for two weeks.
