Arresting four Jerusalemites on Sunday and extending the arrest of 8 others
The Israeli Magistrate court judge extended on Sunday the arrest of 8 Jerusalemites including minors, and released one young man with a bail and house arrest. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of 14-year old Odai Ala’ Salaymeh, 14-year old Ammar Issa Atyeh and 15-year old Mohammad Saed Salaymeh until 29/10/2013 knowing that the Israeli forces arrested them on Sunday early morning hours after raiding their homes in Silwan. He added that the judge also extended the arrest of 23-year old Khaled Abbasi, 22-year old Ashraf Abbasi and 26-year old Emad Abbasi until next Thursday and the general prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s approval to submit an indictment against them. The judge also released 25-year old Hamzeh Abbasi on condition of house arrest for a week and 1000-NIS bail in addition to signing a third-party bail of 5000 NIS. Hamzeh Abbasi explained that he was investigated in “cells 20” at Al-Maskobyeh and the investigation was continuous in order to get a confession. He pointed out that the investigators imposed psychological pressure on him and terrified and threatened him; note that Hamzeh was arrested on the 7th of the current month from his work location in West Jerusalem. Lawyer Mohammad pointed out that the Magistrate court carried out a hearing session on Sunday for the minors Louai Jaber and Ahmad Natsheh and their sentence was postponed until the so-called “conduct officer” releases his report. They were allowed to go to their school on Sunday after being subject to open house arrest since mid September. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Israeli police arrested on Sunday 18-year old Baha’ Abbasi from in front of Al-Maskobyeh while he was waiting for his brother Hamzeh and his arrest was extended until Monday. The Center was also informed that the general prosecution submitted a prosecutor’s approval to submit an indictment against Daoud Rayyan next Thursday to the District court.
