Extending the arrest of 9 Jerusalemites from Silwan and Esawyeh and isolating a young man away from Al-Aqsa
The Magistrate court judge extended on Sunday the arrest of 9 Jerusalemites from Silwan and Esawyeh for a few more days. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Rabee’ Gheith and Mouath Shyoukhi until next Thursday; note that they were arrested on Sunday early morning hours from their homes in Silwan. The Magistrate court Judge also extended the arrest of 16-year old Anwar Obeid, 17-year old Nour Eddin Obeid, 17-year old Ibrahim Dirbas, 18-year old Islam Obeid and 19-year old Ammar Obeid until Tuesday knowing that the police arrested them from their homes in Esawyeh last Thursday and extended their arrest for 24 hours on that day. The judge then decided to release them on Friday but the general prosecution appealed the decision and so extended their arrest until Sunday. The general prosecution also submitted a prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against Ibrahim Abu Sneineh and his brother Basel and extended their arrest until Tuesday. Isolating one of Al-Aqsa students and keeping him away from Al-Aqsa for 15 days The Israeli police ordered young man Ahmad Abu Ghazaleh to stay away from Al-Aqsa for 15 days. Ahmad was arrested on Sunday afternoon while he was leaving Hutta Gate on charges of “disorder and refusing to hand over his personal identification card before entering Al-Aqsa” and was taken to Al-Qishleh police center.
