Extending the arrest of 8 Jerusalemites and releasing 7 others
The District and Magistrate courts Judges extended on Tuesday the arrest of 8 Jerusalem including minors and released 7 others with bails. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of 19-year old Mahmoud Jamal Gheith until Thursday; note that he was arrested on Tuesday early morning hours from the town of Silwan. The lawyer added that the District court judge extended the arrest of Emad and Ashraf Abbasi until 26/11/2013 which is when the so called “conduct officer” will release his report to discuss the possibility of releasing them with a bail and house arrest conditions. The District court judge also extended the arrest of the two minors Ibrahim and Basel Abu Sneineh until 19/11/2013 for the same reason as Emad and Ashraf. The general prosecution submitted an indictment against them that included charges of throwing stones at a settler’s car in Esawyeh and exposing the lives of passers-by to danger. He added that the Magistrate court judge released Nour Eddin Obeid and Anwar Obeid with a bail of 500 NIS and Ammar Obeid and Islam Obeid with a 1000-NIS bail, and Mouath Shyoukhi and Rabee’ Gheith without any conditions. In a related matter, the lawyer explained that the District court judge released Khaled Abbasi with a 5-thousand NIS bail and open house arrest. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the District court judge extended the arrest of 17-year old Mohammad Akram Abulhawa, 16-year old Mahmoud Abu Sbitan and 19-year old Omar Ahmad Abulhawa “Abu Shahin” until 18/11/12013; note that they were arrested since the beginning of the month. The judge also extended the house arrest and isolation that is imposed on Mouath Shallodi until 29/12/2013.
