Madaa Center holds a ceremony on occasion of Islamic New Year
Madaa Silwan Creative Center held a ceremony last Tuesday on occasion of the Islamic New Year at the center’s club in the town of Silwan. Sahar Baydoun, head of Women Project in Madaa Center, welcomed the attendees and stressed on the Center’s interest in the participation of the locals in all national and religious occasions; she also thanked the women group in the center who coordinated this ceremony. Dozens of women and their children from the neighbourhoods of Silwan and the old city of Jerusalem participated in the event and chanted religious songs. A woman from Shu’fat refugee camp narrated the biography of Prophet Mohammad PBUH. At the end of the ceremony, the center served sweets and drinks for the attendees who were impressed of the ceremony’s events.
