The Jerusalem municipality raids Shu’fat refugee camp

The occupation municipality employees took pictures of over 20 residential buildings in the neighbourhood of Ras Shihada in Shu’fat refugee camp on Tuesday morning. Jamil Sandouka, head of Ras Khamees development committee, said that a joint force of Special Forces and municipality crews raided the neighbourhood of Ras Shihada, Ras Khamees and Al-Awqaf Land (located between Shu’fat refugee camp and Pisgat Ze’ev) and took pictures of 28 residential buildings that include dozens of residential apartments and marked them on their map and the pictures that had. It is noteworthy that the Jerusalem municipality distributed administrative demolition orders to 200 residential buildings on 31/10/2013 in the neighbourhoods of Ras Khamees and Shihada as well as taking pictures of dozens of other buildings, a mosque and a school. Jamil Sandouka explained that the demolition orders will affect 200 buildings where each has between 20-50 apartments and 15-16 thousand people live in those buildings.
