Extending the arrest of Al-Ghoul and Abbasi on charges of “assaulting police individuals”
The Magistrate court judge extended on Wednesday the arrest of two Fateh activists from Silwan until next Sunday to continue investigating them. Mufeed Al-Hajj, Prisoner’s Club lawyer, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Ahmad Al-Ghoul and Mousa Abbasi until next Sunday on charges of “recently assaulting police individuals.” He pointed out that the judge did not disclose the day and date of the assault and claimed that releasing such information will disrupt the investigation. The Israeli forces had arrested Ahmad Al-Ghoul, head of Fateh Youth in Silwan, and Mousa Abbasi, coordinator of Palestine Youth Parliament, after raiding their homes in the neighbourhoods of Wad Qaddoum and Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan.
