“Al-Shalish” court approves to decrease the sentence of Mohammad Siam
November 25, 2013

“Al-Shalish” court in “Hasharon” prison approved on Monday to decrease the sentence of 16-year old Mohammad Raed Siam. Mohammad’s father explained that the court’s judge agreed to decrease his son’s sentence after spending more than two thirds of his 15-month sentence in the occupation’s prisons but the general prosecution refused the decision; the judge gave them one week to appeal the decision or the boy will be released. The father, who attended the session, added that the judge agreed to release his son on condition of abiding by the so-called “reform program”. He is also not allowed to travel abroad or leave his house after 8 p.m. and has to sign in the police center until his sentence is complete next April. He explained that the court held a hearing session for Mohammad at the beginning of the month but was postponed until last Monday to modify the “reform program”. Mohammad was arrested from his house in the early morning hours of 20/01/2013 and was exposed to harsh investigation in the cells of Al-Maskobyeh despite his young age. He suffered from severe psychological and health problems during the first time he was arrested and was charged with throwing Molotov cocktails, rocks and fire crackers towards a settlement outpost in the village.
