A new settlement plan on the slopes of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem

Religious and national figures revealed on Wednesday a new settlement project called “the heritage village” on the lands of Mount of Olives east of the Old City of Jerusalem. Head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, and deputy President of the Islamic movement in1948 lands, Sheikh Kamal Khatib, and the Fateh movement official responsible for the Jerusalem file, Hatem Abdel Kader talked about this project during a press conference that was held in the Commodore hotel in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh which was entitled “Mount of Olives and the danger of Judaization.” They explained that the project of ““the heritage village” is part of the plan that was revealed in 2007 entitled “Jerusalem First” and which was developed by Israeli planer “Zamosh”. Today and after 7 years, the Israeli organization had implemented part of the plan in Silwan and Al-Buraq courtyard and other places in the city of Jerusalem and Mount of Olives is next. The targeted area is 27 Dunoms and is privately owned. These lands are located in a strategic place and they overlook the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
