The opening of a new branch of Madaa Creative Center in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan
Madaa Silwan Creative Center opened its new branch in the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. Sahar Abbasi, head of women’s projects at the center, said that the goal behind opening a new branch is to enable a larger number of citizens in the town of Silwan to enroll and benefit from the various programs of Madaa Center, and the opening of the new branch was upon the request of the locals of Ein Al-Lozeh which has a large number of residents. Abbasi explained that the center conducts several programs and projects to develop the Palestinian women such as sewing, mosaics, embroidery, sports, foreign languages and computer courses in addition to awareness lectures and guidance for women and provides various services for children and the youth. More than 50 women from the neighborhoods of Ein Al-Lozeh and Wadi Hilweh attended the opening ceremony as well as representatives from the Palestinian Counseling Center, Doctors without Borders, and the Agricultural Relief.
