Suppressing a protest for the students of the Hebrew University and arresting three students
The Israeli forces suppressed on Tuesday a peaceful protest entitled “I refuse” which was organized by the “Democratic Student Rally” in front of the headquarters of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem to refuse the recruitment orders from the Christian Arab youth. The forces arrested three students after assaulting the participants with pushing and beating. The detainees are: Majd Hamdan, secretary of the Student Rally”, Khalil Gharra and Farah Bayadseh. The “Democratic Student Rally” had called the “Arab Student Movements” and the Arab students to protest in all universities and colleges next Tuesday against recruitment inthe wake of the Israeli army radio’s announcement to begin issuing orders for the recruitment of young Arab Christians.
