Violent clashes in neighborhoods and villages of Jerusalem
Violent clashes broke out in the neighborhoods and villages of Jerusalem to condemn the assassination of the child Mohammad Hussein Abu Khdeir by the settlers. The clashes started around 9 p.m. and continued until after midnight. Clashes broke out in Silwan, Esawyeh, Shu’fat, Shu’fat refugee camp, Al-Sowaneh, Al-Tur, Bab Hutta, Al-Sa’dyeh, Wadi Joz and Jabal Al-Mukabber. In Shu’fat and near the house of Martyr Mohammad Abu Khdeir, violent clashes broke out and more than 200 people were injured during the clashes according to the medical sources. In Shu’fat refugee camp, 7 citizens were injured with rubber bullets and dozens suffocated. In Al-Sowaneh, the main street was closed and Molotov cocktails were thrown towards the settlement of Bet A’ort and the clashes spread to the main street of Al-Tur. Also, violent clashes broke out in the village of Esawyeh and Molotov cocktails were thrown at the Israeli military camp in the village. Molotov cocktails were also thrown at the settlement outpost “Bet Amos” in Silwan, and the streets were blocked using garbage dumpsters and scattered clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Abu Sway and Middle neighborhood. Four young men were injured with rubber bullets in Anata and dozens of settlers broke into the entrance of the village and tried to enter the village but were confronted by the young men. Stones were thrown towards a settler’s car in Jabal Al-Mukabber. Also, a settler ran over the young man Adel Nabil Judeh in the village of Jaba’ (between Hizma and Anata) and he was transferred to the hospital for treatment. In the neighborhoods of the Old City of Jerusalem and especially in Al-Sa’dyeh and Bab Hutta, violent clashes broke out and the forces broke into the house of Amer Is’eed and arrested his 14-year old son Othman and assaulted the father during the arrest.
