The second day of the Martyrdom of the child Mohammad Abu Khdeir

The occupation authorities continued to detain the body of Martyr Mohammad Abu Khdeir for another day on Thursday and refused to hand the family their son’s body under the pretext of conducting necessary check-ups and conducting an autopsy on the body. The authorities informed the family that they will give them the body on Friday without specifying the time or location. The family confirmed that they will not take their son’s body until the occupation authorities acknowledge the fact that he was kidnapped and murdered and requested the Israeli government to condemn the crime. They also requested to arrest and prosecute the settlers and confirmed that that the model, color and license plate number of the car used by the settlers has been identified by the police according to the surveillance cameras, and some cameras were able to identify the faces of the kidnappers. For the second day, Jerusalem rose up to condemn the Martyrdom of Mohammad and the detention of his body. Wadi Hilweh Information Center monitored the events and recorded the arrest of 14 citizens on Thursday and the injury of dozens with rubber bullets and sound grenades and tear gas; note that live bullets were randomly fired in some areas of Jerusalem. Settlers’ attacks on Jerusalemites Settler continues their attack on Jerusalemites and attacked the Mall near the cemetery of Ma’man Allah west of Jerusalem. Witnesses said that more than 50 extremists were wearing shirts that said “Death for Arabs…Revenge…Revenge” broke into the mall and tried to attack the Arab workers as well as the shoppers; the Special Forces arrived at the mall and were able to force the extremists out. In a related matter, four settlers broke into the neighborhood of Al-Samah in Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem and attempted to kidnap the 7-year old child Mohammad Ali Kiswani while he was playing outside his house. They tried to lure him but he and his mom started screaming and dozens of locals immediately gathered causing the settlers to run away. Clashes…   Shu’fat Dozens were injured on Thursday during the clashes that broke out in the neighborhood of Shu’fat near the house of the Martyr Abu Khdeir. The Musta’ribeen unit arrested 6 Jerusalemites during the clashes included Tarek Salah Abu Khdeir, Salim Mousa Abu Khdeir and Amer Liftawi; note that the Musta’ribeen unit used live bullets to execute the arrests. Shu’fat refugee camp The forces arrested two young men from Shu’fat refugee camp and injured three others with rubber bullets and a fourth on with a tear gas bomb that directly hit him and he was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Beit Hanina Eight young men were injured with rubber bullets during the violent clashes that broke out in Beit Hanina including injuries in the head. The young men threw Molotov cocktails at a house that was confiscated by the settlers two years ago in the neighborhood of Al-Ashqaryeh in Beit Hanina; note that a Special Forces unit was protecting the house and fired live bullets towards the young men. Anata Clashes also broke out near the intersection of Anata and sever young men were injured with rubber bullets. Al-Sowaneh and Al-Tur In the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh, more than 30 young men were injured with rubber bullets and sound grenades. The young men burnt tires in front of the settlement outpost “Bet A’ort” and    Local sources said that two young men were injured with rubber bullets in the head and were transferred to the hospital for treatment; the Israeli forces fired live bullets during the clashes. Also, violent clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Al-Tur between the young men and occupation forces. Silwan Violent clashes broke out in the neighborhoods of Silwan especially in Ein Al-Lozeh and Ras Al-Amoud in which one woman was injured with a rubber bullet in her back while she was standing in front of her home. Esawyeh Ten young men were injured with rubber bullets and sound grenades during clashes Esawyeh. The 60-year old Aisha Hamdan suffered a broken leg as she was walking in the village and the occupation forces randomly fired sound grenades. The forces were heavily deployed around the settlement of French Hill near the village of Esawyeh, the Hebrew University, a military camp and Hadassah Hospital. Witnesses said that the occupation forces used live bullets to disperse the young men.   Al-Ram The Musta’ribeen unit arrested three young men during violent clashes in the village and three others were injured with rubber bullets. Old City of Jerusalem The Israeli forces arrested three young men from the neighborhood of the Old City including Ashraf Za’tari and Fayez Baytouni. Jabal Al-Mukabber The 33-year old Nidal Amin Shqeirat was injured with several bruises after being assaulted and severely beat by the Israeli forces as he was walking in the area of Jabal Al-Mukabber; note that he suffers from a disability in his leg and the forces prevent the ambulance from getting to him resulting in the breakout of violent clashes. Sur Baher The young men threw stones towards the occupations forces stationed at the entrance of the village of Sur Baher.
