Clashes break out in Jerusalem for the fifth day and the injury of a woman, a girl and a man in Silwan along with injuries with live bullets in Al-Ram
Clashes broke out for the fifth consecutive day in the neighborhoods of Silwan, Al-Ram, Shu’fat and Al-Tur as a respond to the Martyrdom of the child Mohammad Abu Khdeir, and the settlers assaulted Jerusalemites in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Tur. Silwan Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that violent clashes broke out in the neighborhoods of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. During the clashes, a Musta’ribeen (undercover) unit raided the neighbourhood but failed to execute any arrests, and the forces randomly fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards the locals’ houses which led to the injury of an 9-year old girl with a rubber bullet and 24-year old woman with a rubber bullet in her foot in addition to the damaging of the windows of several houses. Rubber bullets were also directly fired towards a man from Silwan while driving his motorbike in Ein Al-Lozeh, and then severely assaulted him; note that he was transferred to the hospital for treatment. Al-Ram Violent clashes broke out in Al-Ram near the gas station of Abu Shalbak. A first-aid officer in the Arab Paramedics Union said that five young men were injured during the clashes in which three of them suffered injuries in the limbs due to live bullets and two were injured with rubber bullets in the back and the face. Shu’fat refugee camp A march initiated near the crossing of Shu’fat refugee camp where dozens of young men who were holding Palestinian flags participated and chanted in support of the Martyr Abu Khdeir. Shu’fat Clashes renewed in Shu’fat at night time and two young men were injured with rubber bullets. Also, the young men continued damaging the light trail stations which passes by in their neighborhood and serves the settlers; note that this light trail confiscated hundreds of Dunoms of Jerusalemites’ lands. Al-Tur Settlers from the settlement of Bet Aort attacked Jerusalemites while passing through the street in between Al-Sowaneh and Al-Tur and threw stones at their cars. The Israeli forces arrived at the area and protected the settlers and fired grenades towards the young men. Sheikh Jarrah Hundreds of settlers were gathered near the entrances of Sheikh Jarrah and tried to break into the neighborhood but were prevented by the Israeli police. They chanted “Death for Arabs…Revenge” and randomly threw stones towards the locals.
