Extending the arrest of 43 Jerusalemites
The Magistrate court judge extended on Tuesday the arrest of 43 Jerusalemites in which most of them are minors; note that the majority of the detainees were arrested on Tuesday early morning hours and the rest were arrested in the previous two days. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud from Al-Dameer organization, lawyer Odeh Zbeidat and lawyer Mufeed Alhaj from the Prisoner’s Club defended the detainees. The lawyers explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Mansour Shweiki (14), Tamer Sarhan, Mohammad Qneibi, Nour Eddin Zaghal (16), Mohammad Khaled Sarhan (16), Hatem Shweiki (17), Sharif Abu Rmeileh (16), Ali Qaq (22), Wajdi Tarshan, Mouath Hamdan, Abdullah Julani, Ibrahim Abu Qos, Mohannad Safadi, Baker Mughrabi, Mohammad Abu Khdeir, Mohammad Nimer Abu Ter, Mohammad Eyad Abu Ter, Mustafa Adnan Abu Ter and Mohammad Qutob Abu Ter until Friday. The judge also extended the arrest of Hasan Abu Khdeir, Ahmad Abu Khdeir, Saeed Abu Ta’a, Samer Ghateet, Issa Ala’ Eddin, Khaldoun Sarhan and Samah Sarhan until Thursday. The judge also extended the arrest of Mahmoud Ahmad Abu Ghannam, Baker Mughrabi, Mutasem Abulhawa, Ayoub Abulhawa, Odai Khweis, Ali Fawaqa, Ahmad Mamdouh Qarout, Abdelkarim Ameera and Mahmoud Qarout. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Israeli forces arrested the above mentioned Jerusalemites on Tuesday early morning after raiding their homes in the neighborhoods of Al-Tur, Sur Baher, Um Tuba, Silwan, Shu’fat and Shu’fat refugee camp. The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Abbasi until 23/07/2014 which is when the so-called conduct officer will release his report and discuss the possibility of releasing him with a bail and house arrest conditions. The judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Abu Mayaleh until Wednesday in order to issue a releasing order or extend his arrest again. The judge released Abdulrahman Halawani without any conditions, and extended the arrest of Tarek Idris, Walid Risheq, Hamadi Mulazem and Sami Batsh until Friday.
