Extensions of arrest and conditional releases...Assaulting Mohammad Eweisat and arresting him
The Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of six Jerusalemites and released four others. Mohammad was arrested on Tuesday night from the neighborhood of Jabal Al-Mukabber during the clashes that broke out in the neighborhood and he was assaulted and severely beaten. Mohammad suffered wounds and scratches in his face in addition to several bruises all over his body. After he was arrested, he was transferred to Hadassah hospital for treatment and then to Al-Maskobyeh in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Releases Lawyer Mohammad added that the Magistrate judge decided to release Mazen Halawani, Samed Abu Sneineh and Hasan Tomani with a financial bail of 750 NIS for each in addition to isolation from the Old City of Jerusalem for 15 days. The judge also released the 13-year old child Mustafa Abu Sbeih at 10 p.m. on Wednesday on conditions of house arrest for 5 days and a financial bail of 10 thousand NIS; note that he was arrested on Wednesday morning. A session in the Supreme Court to void the administrative sentence against Midhat Obeid In a related matter, a session was held at the Supreme Court on Wednesday to discuss the administrative sentence issued against the Jerusalemite young man Midhat Obeid. The prosecution appealed the District court’s decision to turn his arrest into administrative arrest for three months and they requested to increase the period o six months according to the orders of the Minister of Internal Security.
