August 6, 2014

The District court’s judge in Jerusalem extended on Wednesday the arrest of three settlers accused of killing the 17-year old child Mohammad Hussein Abu Khdeir at the beginning of last July. A session was held on Wednesday after the suspects’ lawyer requested to release them with conditions of financial bails and house arrest but the judge decided to extend the arrest of the main suspect who is an adult from the settlement of “Adam” until completing the legal procedures against him, and extended the arrest of the other two suspects until next Wednesday when the so-called “conduct officers” releases his reports and will discuss then the possibility of releasing them with the above mentioned conditions. The three killers appeared on Wednesday in front of the cameras and the family of the Martyr Abu Khdeir and the court’s guards only allowed the family of the Martyr to attend the session (father, mother, brothers, sisters and his grandparents). Dozens of Jerusalemites protested outside the court in solidarity with the Martyr’s family and held pictures of the Martyr and slogans requesting to punish the killers. The martyr’s father requested to sentence the killers of his son with the maximum punishment possible as they kidnapped his son and burnt him alive and described them as the “New Nazis”.
