Clashes in Jerusalem in support of Al-Aqsa

Clashes broke out on Tuesday night in the neighborhoods and villages of Jerusalem in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque. In the area of Al-Shayah near Ras Al-Amoud, violent clashes broke out where one young man was injured in his head. Also, scattered clashes broke out in the neighborhood of Ras Al-Amoud and the Israeli forces were heavily deployed in the area; note that the forces were stationed in Ras Al-Amoud for several hours and provoked the locals in addition to breaking into Silwan Club under the pretext of looking for stones throwers. The occupation municipality took down and confiscated Palestinian flags that were hung on houses in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh. The spokesman of Fateh Movement in Shu’fat refugee camp, Thaer Fasfoos, said that violent clashes broke out near the military camp of Shu’fat refugee camp where dozens of young men confronted the Israeli soldiers who fired sound and tear gas grenades, rubber bullets and live ammunition towards them. Thaer added that the young men responded by throwing firecrackers, Molotov cocktails and stones towards the forces and some of them suffocated due to inhaling tear gas. One young man was severely injured in his head and others were injured with rubber bullets in their limbs. Clashes also broke out in Al-Tur and in the neighborhood of Bab Hutta and near Al-Majles Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem as the young men were still prevented from entering Al-Aqsa.
