Raiding houses and assaulting the residents and arrests in Silwan
The Israeli forces raided on Tuesday night the house of Amin Siam in the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh and also raided “Hosh” Abu Tayeh in Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Israeli masked forces raided the neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh and closed its entrance and then raided the house of Amin Siam and prevented his family members from moving or leaving the house. The forces searched the house and then arrested Amin Siam, Wisam Siam and Mu’een Haddeh. During the raid and closure of the main street, verbal altercations broke out between the forces and the locals of Silwan. A large Israeli force raided “Hosh” Abu Tayeh under the pretext of throwing stones at the police. The forces brutally attacked the women and young men and detained a few of the neighborhood’s young men for several minutes and then released them after they were assaulted and beaten. The soldiers pushed the mother of the prisoners Yousef and Basel Abu Tayeh and assaulted her sons Nader and Mohammad, Mohammad Zaytoon was also assaulted and his front teeth were broken after the forces raided his house; Ibrahim Arafeh was also assaulted. The forces arrested the 50-year old Abu Abed Shyoukhi and the 40-year old Abu Samir Najib as the forces claimed that the young men threw stones from the roofs of their houses.
