Releasing a woman…extensions of arrest
The Israeli forces arrested on Tuesday the 48-year old Hanan Abu Asab after assaulting and beating her. Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, explained that the Israeli forces arrested Abu Asab on Tuesday morning while she was heading to work concurrently when the forces were stationed at the gates of Ras Al-Amoud School and their attempt to assault students. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the forces also arrested the 17-year old Mahmoud Zaghal and when Hanan (Mahmoud’s Aunt) went to check on him, she was assaulted and arrested by the forces. The lawyer also explained that the police then released the woman and the child without conditions. In a related matter, the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Nimer Bashir and Mouath Dandis until Thursday to submit an indictment against them. The court also extended the arrest of Mohammad Julani until 6/11/2014; note that he has been detained for a week and is being interrogated in “20 Cells” at Al-Maskobyeh and had undergone a confidential court session. The lawyer pointed out that he will submit an appeal to the District court against the Magistrate court’s decision. The court also released on Tuesday Sameh Najib and his brother Mohammad on conditions of house arrest for 10 days and paying a financial bail of 250 NIS for each. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the judge also extended the arrest of Mahmoud Gheith until Thursday.
