Raiding Al-Mukabber High School and assaulting the students and injuring the director
The Israeli Special Forces headed by one officer raided Jabal Al-Mukabber Girls High School in the village and assaulted the director, teachers and students and fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards them. Witnesses said that the Special Forces raided the school twice on Monday where the first break-in was under the pretext of looking for young men who threw stones and ran inside the school. The director ensured that no young men were present inside the school but the forces insisted on breaking-into the school and searching it; note that they did not find any young men. Witnesses also said that the forces left the school and then the officer ordered them to break-in once again looking for stone-throwers. While the forces were leaving the school, they fired sound grenades and rubber bullets towards the students and teachers and the director, Dima Alayan, was injured with shrapnel of a sound grenade in addition to three students; note that dozens of students especially the children suffered a state of fear. The witnesses explained that the forces including a masked unit raided the school’s courtyard and its buildings and were fully armed. In the last week, the Israeli forces have been stationed in the schools’ street in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber in conjunction with the end of the school day which leads to the occurrence of daily problems and confrontations between youths and troops.
