November 8, 2014

The Israeli forces broke into the premises of Al-Maqased hospital in Al-Tur on Saturday night and arrested one young man after assaulting and severely beating him. Witnesses explained that the occupation forces raided the hospital and searched its courtyards and then broke into the emergency department and arrested one young man after assaulting and severely beating him. The raid was in conjunction with violent clashes that broke out in Al-Tur; note that the forces heavily fired tear gas and sound grenades and used wastewater against the hospital in the past two days. The hospital’s administration condemned this attack which violated the sanctity of the hospital and also violated all of the International Geneva conventions and the International Humanitarian Law and appealed for all human and legal organizations such as the Red Cross to intervene and stop these unjustified actions by the occupation forces. Witnesses also said that the forces randomly fired grenades in Al-Tur and fired one sound grenade inside an “optics” shop and forced all the store owners to close their commercial stores; note that they also targeted the residential houses.
