Sentencing one young man…extensions of arrest and releases

Tags: The Magistrate court sentenced on Monday the 22-year old Mohammad Hussein Abdel Mutaleb Khatib from the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz for actual imprisonment of 10 months. Mohammad’s mother said that her son was arrested on 25/08/2014 on charges of throwing stones. She explained that her son was also arrested almost a year and a half ago during Al-Aqsa incidents and was sentenced then for 8 months of house arrest and was then sentenced for five months of public service and was also sentenced for a suspended probation of six months. She pointed out that her son suffers from kidney problems and has gotten very sick while he was detained in Hadarim prison; note that the doctors had appointed him a surgery to implant a tube in his kidneys on Tuesday. Extension of arrest Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of the 19-year old Kayed Rajabi and the 16-year old Mohammad Ziad Zidani until Friday. The judge also extended the arrest of Mohammad Julani and Fadi Abu Sbeih until Thursday to submit indictments against them, and extended the arrest of Mohammad Alwat until the so-called “conduct officer” releases his report. The judge also extended the arrest of Mansour Al-Akari, brother of the Martyr Ibrahim Al-Akari, for seven more days knowing that he has been detained in cells for the past five days. The judge released Anan Julani on condition of house arrest for 3 days and a third-party bail of three thousand NIS. Lawyer Mufeed Al-Hajj from the Prisoner’s Club said that the Israeli forces arrested Amjad Abdelghani (15), Mohammad Jaber (16), Mu’taz Jaber (23) and Nour Abu Zneid (17) from Shu’fat refugee camp.
