In pictures: The release of two children from Silwan and Esawyeh
The Israeli prisons administration at Megiddo prison released on Sunday the 15-year old Mohammad Sultan Abbasi from Silwan and the 17-year old Mahmoud Naeem Alayan from the village of Esawyeh after completing their prison sentences. Mohammad Sultan Hasan Abbasi The 15-year old Mohammad spent 14 months inside the occupation prisons. He was arrested with a group of children from Silwan on 11/11/2012 and after few days of interrogation despite his young age, he was released on conditions of house arrest and deportation until completing the legal procedures against him which lasted for 10 months. He turned himself in on 18/09/2013 after the court sentenced him for one and half years of actual imprisonment. The child’s lawyer submitted an appeal a month ago to appeal his sentence and the judge agreed to reduce it by four months. Mahmoud Naeem Alayan The 17-year old Mahmoud Naeem Alayan from the village of Esawyeh was also released on Sunday from Megiddo prison after completing his one-year sentence; note that he was under house arrest for six months before he was actually imprisoned and his family paid a 13-thousand NIS financial fine.
