Arresting Hajj Ziad Kheiri Zidani and extending the arrest of his two sons
The Israeli Intelligence arrested the 60-year old Ziad Kheiri Zidani while he was at the Magistrate court on Sunday for his son’s (Amer) hearing session. He was then released after being interrogated for several hours and the Intelligence threatened him to imprison his two sons, Amer and Mohammad” for long periods of time. The Magistrate judge extended the arrest of the 19-year old Amer until 19/11/2014 to continue interrogating him. Amer who was released a year ago after spending one year in prison was arrested again last Thursday; note that this is the 21st arrest for Amer since 2010 as explained by his brother Basem. Basem pointed out that his brother Amer told the family during the hearing session that he has been under harsh arrest conditions since he was arrested last Thursday, and he was isolated from the other detainees. He also told them that food is not being served to him and he is prevented from going out on break. Basem pointed out that his other brother Mohammad (17 years old) was arrested last Monday for the 14th time and the court prevented his lawyer and his family from attending the court session under the pretext of the “confidentiality” of his case; note that his third hearing session will be held on Monday.
