Pictures and initial information…blowing up the house of the Martyr Abdulrahman Shallodi
The locals of Silwan did not sleep and the children had a rough night after the Israeli forces raided the neighborhoods of Silwan on Tuesday night and imposed like a “curfew” in order to execute the military order and demolish the house of the Martyr Abdulrahman Shallodi in Al-Bustan neighborhood; note that the Martyr passed away on 22/10/2014 after being shot by the guards of the light trail in Sheikh Jarrah who claimed that he deliberately ran over a group of settlers while he was screaming “unintentional, unintentional”. A huge explosion shook the town of Silwan and the neighboring areas around 4 a.m. after the Israeli forces blew up the house using dynamite leaving damage that looked more like an earthquake had just hit. The occupation authorities are following a new style of demolishing houses as their specialists plant dynamite in the house. The process took from 1 until 4 a.m. and witnesses said that the occupation authorities withdrew from the area after planting the explosives and remotely detonated the house. Wadi Hilweh Information Center confirmed that the occupation authorities did not take into account the houses adjacent to the Martyr’s house and did not think about those houses before carrying out the demolition process. The Martyr’s house is on the fourth floor of a residential building and blowing up the house cause a lot of damage to the neighboring houses. The Center was also informed that the forces increased their presence in Silwan since Tuesday morning and launched the helicopter for several hours and suddenly raided the town after midnight and surrounded the Martyr’s house. The Israeli authorities evacuated the residents of the Shallodi family and three neighboring families (Qaimari, Qa’qoor and Abu Rajab) and forced them to leave and detained them in a tent in Silwan for several hours despite the cold weather; note that they were prevented from moving or leaving the tent all that time. The forces also imposed a cordon in Al-Ein Street, Bi’er Ayoub and Ein Al-Lozeh. After the residents went back to their apartments, they were surprised to find out that the contents of their apartments were searched and damaged. They pointed out that the occupation is trying to punish all Jerusalemites. Damages also occurred to several cars that were parked in the Martyr’s neighborhood after the construction equipment and rocks fell on them.
