Extending the arrest of 4 Jerusalemites and releasing 6 others

Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, said that the Magistrate court judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Qneibi and the child Ali Obeidyeh until 25/12/2014 knowing that the public prosecution submitted an indictment against Obeidyeh who suffers from bruising and swelling after being assaulted during the arrest. The judge also extended the arrest of Yousef Dari until Friday and Hani Gheith until next Monday. The judge decided on Thursday to release the 16-year old Ahmad Rajabi and the 17-year old Mahmoud Abu Nab with a 500-NIS financial bail, a third-party bail and house arrest for 5 days. He also decided to release Mahmoud Rajabi, Mustafa Qawasmi and Ihab Hamdan with a bail of 500 NIS for each, a third-party bail and house arrest for 14 days. The judge also released Mansour Shyoukhi with a third-party bail and house arrest for 14 days. A hearing was held on Thursday at the Magistrate court for the Jerusalemite prisoner Suhaib Al-A’war and the prosecution requested to add six months of actual imprisonment for other charges. The judge refused the prosecution’s request and decided to release Al-A’war with a suspended probation of 4 months in addition to a 1500-NIS financial bail; note that Al-A’war completes his prison sentence in 45 days.
