November 21, 2014

A settler ran over the Jerusalemite woman, Suzan Al-Kurd, on Friday while she was walking in the main street of Shu’fat heading to the Mosque. Suzan’s mother said that her daughter was injured with bruises in her lower limbs after she was deliberately run over by an Israeli settler in Shu’fat. The settler was driving with high speed and ran away after running over the young woman. In a related matter, several settlers attacked the town of Al-Tur twice on Friday where they tried to assault the residents in the first time but were confronted and they raided the “Smoker’s Shop” in the second times and assaulted Ahmad Khaled Abu Ghannam. The member of the follow-up committee in Al-Tur, Mufeed Abu Ghannam, said that seven settler were walking in the main street of Al-Tur near the Mount of Olives hotel in a provocative way. Upon arrival to a group of locals (children, young men and old people), they verbally insulted them and the young men confronted them and threw chairs toward them. Also, an iron war was thrown towards the setters which hit one of them in the head. The settlers then ran away towards the settlement of “Bet Aort” in the neighborhood of Al-Sowaneh and then 20 extremists came out and attacked the “Smoker’s Shop” and assaulted the young man Ahmad Khaled Abu Ghannam but the young men confronted them and forced them to leave the store. The forces also raided the town of Al-Tur and were stationed at its main entrance and heavily fired sound grenades in the area.
