November 21, 2014

Three settlers assaulted on Friday the 22-year old Ahmad Yacoub Al-Ghoul and hit him on his eye while he was in a car with two of his friends. The head of the Fateh Youth in Jerusalem, Ahmad Al-Ghoul, said that he was with his friends (Fadi Maragha and Ahmad Al-Ghoul) and they were heading towards Al-Musrara near Damascus Gate. While stopping at the traffic light, three settlers started hitting their car and verbally assaulting them and prevented them from driving. He added: “We got out of the car and they immediately attacked Ahmad Al-Ghoul on his eye and he fell and lost consciousness. He pointed out that they were wearing black gloves and were holding belts and iron metals and it looked like they were waiting and looking for Jerusalemites to attack them.” He continued: “when the police arrived, they arrested Fadi Maragha and two of the settlers who claimed that we attacked them.” Al-Ghoul explained that Ahmad Yacoub was transferred in an ambulance to Al-Maqased hospital for treatment. He suffered bleeding under his eye and bruises in his shoulder and lost consciousness after being hit.
