Taking away the “Israeli” ID from a Palestinian freed prisoner
The Israeli Minister of Interior, Gilad Ardan, cancelled on Sunday the permanent residency (Israeli ID) of Mohammad Nadi under the pretext of transporting the Martyr Saeed Hotari who carried out an operation known as the “Dolphinarium” in Tel Aviv in 2001 which led to the death of 21 Israeli citizens.
The Institution of Yousef Al-Sideeq explained that the 42-year old Mohammad Bahjat Nadi is from Jaljuleya in the 1948 lands and is a permanent resident and denying what appeared in the Israeli media that Nadi is from the city of Jerusalem.
The Institution added that Mohammad was born in Askar refugee camp in Nablus and then moved to Al-Ramleh and then to Jaljuleya where he obtained his residency. He owned a “Subaru” car and his friend asked him on 01/06/2001 to transfer a person from the West Bank to Israel which later appeared to be the same person who carried out the operation. Mahmoud then turned himself in and was accused of transporting the Martyr to Tel Aviv.
The Institution pointed out that Mohammad Nadi was sentenced for 12 years in prison and a suspended probation of two years, and six months were added later for a previous case; he was released two years ago.
