Arresting the 7-year old Obaida Ayesh from Silwan
The Musta’ribeen (undercover) unit arrested on Wednesday the 7-year old Obaida Mheisen Ayesh from the neighborhood of Ein Al-Lozeh in Silwan. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed by some witnesses that the Musta’ribeen arrested the child after a group of Musta’ribeen got out of a private car used by the settlers’ guards and held the child until the police car arrived which arrested him; note that his mother was able to accompany him during the arrest and interrogation. Obaida’s mother explained to Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation forces arrested her son while he was near his house when he left to get a “pen” that he dropped. Clashes were ongoing in the neighborhood at the time and the forces fired a sound grenade towards Obaida while chasing the young men who were throwing stones and then he was detained. The mother added that she was at work and received a call from her neighbor to inform her of the matter. She was able to arrive half an hour later and the police allowed her to accompany her child in the police car. She added that he son was detained in the area of Wadi Al-Rababeh and the police interrogated him on charges of throwing stones. The interrogator told the lawyer that it is possible to call the child again for interrogation.
