Arrests…extensions of arrest…releases

The lawyer of Al-Dameer organization, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate court judge extended on Friday the arrest of the minor Rashid Risheq from the Old City of Jerusalem and an indictment had been submitted against him that included charges of assaulting a settler through stabbing. The judge also extended the arrest of Abdullah Abu Kaf, Mahmoud Abu Kaf and the minor Bashar Jbareen until next Monday, and Hassan Amro until next Tuesday. The judge also decided on Friday to release Jamil Abbasi with a financial bail of 1000 NIS, house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS. The lawyer of the Prisoner’s Club, Mufeed Al-Hajj, said that the Magistrate judge decided on Friday to release the minors Mohammad Salaymeh and Mouath Salaymeh with a 1000-NIS bail and house arrest for 15 days for each; note that an indictment was submitted against them and they were arrested last Thursday. The judge also extended the arrest of Qusai Dandis until next Tuesday and Majed Abu Nijmeh, Omar Shweiki and Ibrahim Abu Mayaleh until Monday. Lawyer Al-Hajj added that the judge extended the arrest of Yazan Jundi until Saturday on charges of assaulting a settler; note that he was arrested last Thursday night. In a related matter, the District court judge decided last Thursday to release three minors from the neighborhood of Beit Hanina on condition of house arrest and financial bails; note that they were accused of throwing stones and they are: Mohammad Bakri, Ahmad Bakri and Yousef Abu Sneineh. Lawyer Al-Hajj also explained that the judge decided to allow Yousef and Ahmad to go to school if accompanied by one of their parents and pointed out that the prosecution refused the decision of release and decided to appeal it in the Supreme Court. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Israeli forces arrested Shadi Abu Odeh on Friday early morning. In a related matter, lawyer Mahmoud explained that the Magistrate judge extended last Thursday the arrest of Amir Dabsh until Sunday, and Tala Eweisat until Monday and Qasem Habeebeh until next Wednesday. Ashraf Eweisat, Saber Obeid, Fares Eweisat, Mohammad Saleh and Majdi Abu Ghazaleh were released last Thursday. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the Magistrate judge released last Tuesday Nadim Obeid, Mohannad Obeid, Obada Dandis, Ahmad Najdi, Mahmoud Najdi, Mohammad Abdo and Rami Eweisat with a third-party bail of three thousand NIS, and released Badawi Abu Asab without any conditions. The judge also sentenced Hamdi Gheith for three months and one day of actual imprisonment.
