Arresting 49 Jerusalemites since the beginning of December…arrests and extensions of arrest

Al-Dameer organization lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Hasan Mahmoud until 10/12/2014, and Seif Abu Ta’a and Mohammad Sha’bani until Tuesday. The judge decided to release Sami Abu Laban and the 16-year old Khaled Abulhawa on condition of house arrest for 5 days. Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge also decided to release Abdullah Abu Kaf and Mahmoud Abu Kaf with a 1000-NIS bail, house arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of five thousand NIS. He also decided to release Bashar Jbareen with a 200-NIS bail, house arrest for 3 days and a third-party bail of 3000 NIS. Amir Dabsh was released with no conditions. Lawyer Mahmoud added that Talal Eweisat was released on conditions of 1000 NIS financial bail, house arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail of 7 thousand NIS. Eweisat was arrested on 18/11/2014 and was interrogated since them at Al-Maskobyeh cells regarding the operating that took place at the synagogue which was carried out by the two Martyrs from Abu Al-Jamal family; note that he was released for lack of evidence. In a related matter, lawyer Mahmoud explained that the judge sentenced on Monday Mohammad Abu Sbitan for 6 months of actual imprisonment and a fine of 2500 NIS; note that he has been detained since mid September. The head of Jerusalemites detainees and prisoners families committee, Amjad Abu Asab, explained that the Israeli authorities have arrested 49 Jerusalemites since the beginning of December including 13 minors. He explained that the Israeli forces arrested on Monday the 22-year old Bilal Burqan and the 19-year old Amjad Hassouneh from the neighborhood of Al-Thori.
