The arrest of the 10-year old Mohammad Khweis and his uncle from Al-Tur
Clashes broke out on Sunday afternoon in Al-Tur and the Israeli forces arrested the 10-year old Mohammad Afif Khweis and his 50-year old uncle Hani Saleh Khweis. Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the Israeli forces arrested Mohammad Khweis when he was playing in Al-Tur playground near Al-Maqased hospital; the child was crying and was in a severe state of fear during the arrest. Witnesses said that the family members interfered to protect their son and prevent his arrest but the forces attacked them and assaulted both men and women with beating; note that they removed the veil of one woman. Witnesses added that the forces sprayed pepper gas at the face of Hani Khweis before arresting him. During the arrest, the forces fired sound grenades towards the residents to prevent their presence in the area.
